Turn off the music?

Postby Danno » Sun Jul 25, 2010 12:29 pm

Is there a way to disable the music? I listen to my stuff and then the game makes an annoying mess when I enter a house or start fishing... and I'd rather not listen to silence for the majority of the gameplay just to avoid that bit of misfortune.

Yes, go to options, audio, and uncheck the music.

Only true for if you use the Pacho Client. (default client has no such option. Unless they added it recently.)

I tried that before, but it didn't want to work. The "music enabled" checkbox doesn't let me toggle it, and the sound slider only affects the sound effects. I assume I have a more recent client since I downloaded the game around two weeks ago...

Aha. Thanks.
Thats about the time I switch to using Pacho as main client. (being able to mute the music being the main reason for switching to Pacho client.)

Its working ... but has some little artifacts that come with it.
in my case ...
1) you need to click above the check box to toggle it.
2) its not showing the current active music setting yet. (it alway start as unchecked after opening the option window (or sound tab?).)
Other than that it seems to work ok.

Hey Kaka, just wanted to say I really enjoy the music for the game. The expressway music and the fishing music are awesomely addictive.

Also want to hijack this thread to ask if the music file from g1real's post is updated because I haven't heard all of those songs on your website.

Thank you.

If you're talking about Javas sound bank file, I don't know,
otherwise, these are the only songs available in-game.

Ah, I didn't expect that. That certainly did the trick, thank you.

While we're talking about music, are there any known plans to add music to the other areas of the game and make the songs loop?

Functionality-wise, there are some pieces missing (changing the volume / fading, simultaneous playback, more advanced looping) to do the things we've discussed.
Jorb has asked for some mining music, but other than that, I have no idea what future music has in this game.
