All the numbers regarding symbels

Postby Xcom » Sat Dec 21, 2013 3:35 am

This took me a very long time to collect and figure out so hope you enjoy. :)

Q0 table and chair doing all the symbol experiments on. All symbols at Q10 and all tested using the table on that picture.

At Q10:

FEP / Hunger modifier / The Hunger point / Name
Code: Select all
0   98.0      2       Base (tables base hunger bonus)
1   95.2      3       Antler Steak Cutlery
1   89.3      10      Earthenware Platter
1   92.6      6       Hard Metal Cutlery
0   98.0      2       Base
2   90.9      8       Cake Knife
0   95.2      3       Cast Iron Trivet
0   95.2      3       Coiled Rope Hotpad
1   89.3      10      Drinking Horn
3   73.0      35      Gold Plate
4   70.4      40      Golden Table Bell
1   95.2      3       Linen Napkin
0   95.2      3       Linen Tablecloth
0   93.5      5       Metal Mug
1   85.5      15      Metal Plate
2   82.0      20      Metal Saucière
1   89.3      10      Pepper Shaker
1   89.3      10      Peppermill
1   89.3      10      Poppy Garland
3   73.0      35      Porcelain Plate
2   91.7      7       Silk Napkin
2   65.8      50      Silk Tablecloth
2   89.3      10      Silver Cutlery
3   82.0      20      Silver River Cutlery
2   70.4      40      Silver River Goblet
2   89.3      10      Skull Cup
0   94.3      4       Soft Metal Cutlery
0   97.1      1       Stitched Leather Coaster
1   85.5      15      Stoneware Vase
1   96.2      2       Wicker Breadbasket
0   89.3      10      Wood Plate
0   86.2      14      Wooden Cup
0   97.1      1       Wooden Cutlery

0   96.2      2       Chair (Wooden Chair)
1   93.5      5       Skull Thrown

FEP bonus is simple, all the collected FEPs from individual symbol is added and applied.
A simple example would be to add Gold Plate, Golden Table Bell, Porcelain Plate, Metal Saucière and Wicker Breadbasket the table displays 13% FEP. If the FEPs of the individual symbols are added it sums to a total of 13% as well.

The hunger bonus is bit more complicated. After spending hours trying to figure out the hunger calculation I found the hunger points and the equation they are based on to give the hunger bonus on the table. The table above shows the hunger % after the individual symbols are added. The hunger points are the numbers the hunger bonus is based on.

Equation for the hunger modifier:

Hunger modifier (%) = normal rounding to 1 decimal(100/ (100 + total hunger points) ) * 100

Here are two examples.

Code: Select all
98.0      Base
89.3      Drinking Horn
82.0      Earthenware Platter
75.8      Pepper Shaker
70.4      Peppermill
65.8      Poppy Garland
61.7      Silver Cutlery
58.1      Skull Cup

Image

Each symbol was added 1 by one and the hunger modifier was recorded. Note all the symbols in the list have a 10 hunger point.

72 hunger points = 7 * 10 points + 2
58.1 = normal rounding to 1 decimal(100/ (100 + 72) ) * 100

and using the example from above (FEP example)

134 hunger points = 35 + 40 + 35 + 20 + 2 + 2
42.7 = normal rounding to 1 decimal(100/ (100 + 134) ) * 100

Summery

Table above shows the FEP and Hunger points of each symbol at Q10.
Total FEP is equal to the sum of the FEPs from individual symbol.
The Hunger modifier is based on an equation listed above and it uses normal rounding, not round down.

Known facts.
-Chair quality matters in gaining better hunger bonus and at Q0 chair its at 2 points.
-A Skull Throne gives significant hunger bonus.
-Gold plate is one of the most durable symbols and lasts for a very long time.
-Eating near a bong fire gives bonus even if eating alone, of course more people sitting at a table gives better bonus (meaning have the table window open while sitting in a chair).

The best table that can possibly be made involves the listed items with the top item being the most vital.
Silk Tablecloth
Golden Table Bell
Silver River Goblet
Gold Plate
Porcelain Plate
Silver River Cutlery
The last 2 items can be of any choice listed above. A good quality Skull Throne can help along a good bit as well.

Things that wasn't tested.
-If the same symbol can be used to gain better FEP and hunger bonus.
-What the durability of each symbol is.
-How feasting at a bong fire affects the bonuses.

You, sir, have the patience of a kind, benevolent god.

But why go with a q0 table and chair? why not just use a base q10? Was it throwing calculations off?

I wanted to reduce the base 98% to 100% when sitting in a empty table. But apparently the lowest you can go in a table is 98%.

omg !! I was just thinking about this and wanting to know the difference in symbel bonus's! you rock Mr. Xcom! :D

-If the same symbol can be used to gain better FEP and hunger bonus.

BTW: I tested the same symbel doesnt give any bonus, only 1 per unique item, it will always use the highest Q symbel of the same type.

I did some more calcs.

Q of symbol affects it in the manner described.

FEP bonus = round down(sqrt(Q of symbol / 10) * Base FEP)
Hunger Point = round down(sqrt(Q of symbol / 10) * Base Hunger Point)

So as example if you have a Q43 Cake Knife, Q129 Silk Napkin and a Q83 Silver Cutlery you end up with

Cake Knife
FEP bonus 4 = round down(sqrt(43/ 10) * 2)
Hunger Point 16 = round down(sqrt(43/ 10) * 8)

Silk Napkin
FEP bonus 7 = round down(sqrt(129/ 10) * 2)
Hunger Point 25 = round down(sqrt(129/ 10) * 7)

Silver Cutlery
FEP bonus 5 = round down(sqrt(83/ 10) * 2)
Hunger Point 28 = round down(sqrt(83/ 10) * 10)

Total Hunger Points 69 = 28 + 25 + 16 + 2(table base bonus)

Hunger Bonus 58.5% = normal rounded to 1 decimal( 100 / ( 100 + 71 ) ) * 100
Total FEP 16 = 4 + 7 + 5

and it fits perfectly with the realistic model

Q10 chair also appears to give 2 hunger points. Its similar to a Wicker Breadbasket except have no FEP bonus.

Edited the table above to include the chair.
