Karma?

What creates negative karma? What creates positive karma? What are the effects of both?

Edit - I figured out part of that question; am I supposed to be taking huge HHP loss for being naughty?

You'll lose karma when stealing from others' land too, and probably also from the act of trespass itself. I don't think there's any way of gaining positive karma. It currently has no effect and it has been mentioned that the karma system is likely to be removed at some point for various reasons, including it not really fitting into the game's theme.

Your HHP loss will probably be from trespassing, you lose HHP every time you cross the line to go into someone's claimed land.

Yeah. I got negative karma from from knocking out someone who had attacked me, and from opening a container in a claim without stealing anything, to test to see if I could open it from outside the claim because it was on the border of the claim. The karma system is a bit screwy.
