What gets deleted periodically?

Is it safe to leave buckets lying around, or potted plants? I've been storing them, but it'd sure help out if my buckets can sit outside of containers.

I cant be certain of this but things seem to disappear more often on the surface than in mines. I've not seen anything disappear from indoors but I tend to keep things in vases anyway... I'd be interested to know the answer to this question myself.

i've seen logs disappear but not felled trees. I want to know too.
The ones who see things differently.

You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them.
And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.

The only things that disappear on some regular basis is inventory items that are dropped on the ground. Depending on the kind of item, it only remains for some time. Some of the more high-level stuff do not disappear on a scheduled basis, but nevertheless never saved in the maps, so it will disappear over restarts (or crashes) or as soon as I implement map unloading (which is necessary for conserving server memory as the map grows). It's considered a part of the natural decay of the world. So yeah, it pays to keep your stuff in containers.

Logs should never disappear. I can only assume that it either happened due to a crash, or someone stole it.

I think wood blocks are what sami meant by "logs", since she also mentioned fallen trees not disappering.

Ah, right. I did wonder what the distinction was. :)

But yes, wood blocks do disappear. I have considered if they may be disappearing too fast, though, and I'll probably fix that.
