Irregular Crop Growing

Postby Robben_DuMarsch » Wed May 29, 2013 12:00 am

I have encountered something weird. I grow quality crops 12 separated in 3x3 squares, and noticed that down the far side west side, ever crop was growing slower. I figured this may have been due to the beehive not hitting the squares, but they seem to show clearly within the beehives circle with Ender's Client.

I moved my beehive and planted some new crops, so we will see if that changes anything.

Does anyone know any other reason this may have happened?

my crops do the same thing(it seems that there is a general timer of about give or take 5-10 minutes when the crops begin to take that last growth stage)

I have seen that as well, and know what you are talking about. This is a little different, as it is every single crop in a column, north to south, of the westernmost line of my crops. For example, in my 3x3 grid, 6 out of 9 of the crops are finished (and have been finished for hours) in this pattern:

then it looks like, if they have been finished for hours and it's all along the N's then you possibly could have em out of the area of influence. for my crops, I don't use a square of ground if there's not 90% coverage. anything 3/4 of the way covered and lower I don't use as farmland.

It looked entirely cover by me. Is it possible that my area of influence wasn't showing correctly?

I had a similar issue once tied to gridlines on the minimap(only thing I saw any different from the rest) all the crops on 1 side of the gridline grew fine along with the beehive but those on the opposite side of the line didn't...I moved my farmland to the side a bit and haven't had the issue since. if you're near a gridline it could be an actual bug and not just some random glitch I experienced.

Ahhh, that may be the problem. It certainly makes sense.

I will check for gridlines in the morning.

Walks away by about 36..45 ground-tiles from the problem crops (perpendicular to the line of crops that are growing slower).
And you will see that those crops that are slower are on a other section than the crops that are in the section where the beehive is located.

You got it. I moved it closer and it fixed.

Guess I will need more beehives!
