Okay Okay, this is no where near finished yet, but bear with me here okay? also id take some sudgestions for this FAQ.

Its all in the wrist: LP grinding techniques for noobs.

KK, I see alot of threads these days bitchin about "How am I
supposed to get LP, for I am a nub who knows nothing about everything!" Well good ol' saltmummy's gonna tell you a few nifty tricks. Im also listing a few ways that may not be available to nubs or semi-nubs. I will update this as more ways and more facts about the techniques are revealed to me or found. also this guide is writin with the assumption that you are at full change. full change. Im listing ALL methods here. not just the good ones, the bad ones too. each technique will be listed with the pros and cons of each.

camp fires
build a shitton of camp fires
light them
?????
profit!
once you have enough LP it is best to buy hunting, lumberjacking, animal husbandry, leather working, foraging, plant lore, farming, pottery, stone working, and fishing. these are key skills in LP grinding.

deforestation
consider this technique out of the question. mass deforestation is not only wasteful and very ugly, it can get you killed if you are cought. people hate treeless zones, it makes them irritable. fact: you are more likely to be attacked in treeless zones. (that wasnt a fact, but you are more easily spotted and chased in a treeless area.)

grinding buckets/cheese trays
get your self a saw and an ax. this is not exactly the most time consuming, but it does take a little time, also it is very wasteful. the effort that you put towards deforesting massive swathes of forest can be better put to use on other less destructive methods. each log produces 1 board, therefore you can get 4 buckets/cheese trays per log. and that is about (at full change) 500 LP per log.

cutlery/plate grinding
this process is no longer fast or easy. it is now very very long and extremly wasteful, you dont get much LP for you efforts. youd be better off with other ways.

fishing
fishing is profitable in food, but it takes a long time, and the gains in LP are small. the best use for fishing is for food, ive
never gained much LP with fishing. but at full change you can get a small but decent amount of LP per fish. if you are patient, it adds up.

hunting
alot of people do this. im not going to tell you how to hunt. what I will tell you is that noobs near a large or medium village have got it easier than most as low lvl animals are abound. they dont give as much LP when killed, but it is a decent amount for any nub. If you want to max out the LP gains from hunting, skin and butcher the animals, cook the meat, and collect the bones. animals also produce another source of LP, leather working and bearcapes. a bearcape can give a hefty jump start when you make it. and armor is always good for a decent amount of LP. the best LP grinder in the leatherworking class is... (in my opinion)

water flasks
water flasks are great to have around and they give a decent shot to LP. making one give the same LP as a bucket/cheese tray. plus, prepping the tanning tub gives you LP as well. you only need maybe two or three of the tubs to get alot of LP. go out, kill alot of aurochs, skin them, cure the hides, tan them into leather, and make water flasks. its the same as grinding cutlery was, but slower.

digging clay
you would be surprised how fast you can garner LP by digging clay. the problem is, finding a clay spot and not emptying the damn thing out. this technique is a hard choice. good clay? or LP? your best bet is to find a low Q spot and a higher Q one. use the low q spot for grinding, use the high q one for good uses like kilns, bricks, and tree pots (for replanting that forest you just chopped down). the low q spot should also be used for building vases, urns, tea pots, tea mugs, and jars.

paper making
making paper is a good way to get LP, and it involves hunting so double the fun! another good thing about paper is...

cartography
map making is a very very good way to get LP. too often are you so busy with your work that you dont notice, you are racking up the LP.The downside to this is, it involves alot of moving around. and you dont get LP for copying down the same spot over and over. you only get LP for recording new details on the old stuff. and as it takes a few days to update the map, this can mean it will take awhile. also when you are finished, you have some maps to show for your work. another hazard is animals. they are everywhere, and while you are drawing up the map, you are exposed to them. note: this is one of my favorite ways to get LP. ive heard alot of people saying that maps arent useful. those people are retards, maps are useful
and easy to use.

farming
farming is a great way to gather LP. you will be sitting around, harvesting the millions of carrots you will prolly have, and when you look at your char menu, youve got thousands of LP in no time flat. i say carrots becuase they grow very fast and therefore produce lots of LP. the same goes for beet roots. this method is made much much more productive, if more time consuming, if you are full nature.

cooking
cooking is a slow but productive way to get LP. also, becuase of its close ties with farming and hunting, the slowness of this method is counter balanced. if you have a large wheat crop, then you can take some of the seeds and make flour. this is a prefered way to squeeze as much LP as possible out of your crops.

Build a stone mansion near a boulder, fill it with 300 stone, build it, then destroy it and start over.

Making flour and turning it into bread dough is pretty damn good and you only need wheat and water for it.

you forgot to metion atn raids... i may be risky for those who dont know how but the lp after u raid is a pretty ok amout (though its not great) another pro for fishig is not only the lp from it but doubes its value after u fileet (butcher) the fish and cook em :) other than that wonderful guide
P.S. I compleatly agree with the irritation on deforestation especialy when stumps are left and i found tht if u come acroos a deforested land with stumps everywhere clear the stumps... even if u dont need the blocks thn make clogs or whatever... later u can go back and replant when you have the treeplanters pot and neccessary skills of course. replanting is a good way to save resources and get lp... win win :)

great topic, if it just wouldnt slide down the page as new topics are added, if noobs would just use the search function before making a new post, and all those other things that make this a good guide, but not too useful, because it will miss quite a bit of the target group

i find farming useful...mine is relatively large and needs a lot of attention. using items from the farm to cook with, or starw to make things like baskets etc are useful and build lp.

Chairs and tables are easy too and can be destroyed

if u're making buckets and shoes if u drop them when u're in the water on the shoreline or in a boat they dissappear. at least ure not left with an ugly load of buckets everywhere

i think finding out what u can do to get further in the game will always get you lp. u move from one thing to another, the more skills you have and experience the higher lp u get for doing basic things. paving stones and grassing them over can be decent lp if u have seeds to spare.

Just try to have fun. As you forget about LP and calculations you start to get more and more LP every day. Subjectively :)
