Animal always down me when taming

Hi there.I have been tamed animal 3 times all these times im be killed.

My stats

unarmed combat 30


All mine armor is from 30q leather.And always killed me
What skill i need rise up or mine leather is bad i dont know.But always fuckin kils me

oh, i guess you just need shield, then in Maneuvers choose shield.

If he doesn't have any melee combat this won't do anything.

Try penning in the animals with construction signs so they can't all attack you and tame them 1 at a time.

idk why, but Shield was effective without any melee combat.. But TS can use your way, it's most safe way

I tame 10 animals this way:

Go for sandwichs, taming take lots time.

First make a fence, thats protect you. Without fence a sheep kill you.

Lead the animal to the fence. If you trap the animal and make him stuck in the door is a easy tamin, but is cheat. :-p

Now youre safe outside, begin with "call down the thunder" this is most important of all,the key to succes, you need to do this attack and raise the coin shape value to 36 or more.

With the 36 or more "coins" (initiative points) you can enter (or if animal is stuck in the door just do your move), the next move is "sidestep" do that until the "balance scale" is all to your side, this is 4 or 5 times.

Now you need make the number that is inside "balance scale" go to 0. Use "Sting like a Bee" 1 time. and go outside inmediately. Or away few tiles if animal is stuck.

Last move: Taming. With rope equiped use taming.

You need repeat this another 4 times. 1 and half hour all the process. If animal dont attack you again dont despair, firwst attaack sometimes take 30 min. dont know why.

just do add an advice. If you are taming herd animals (sheeps, aurochs) pen the herd and lead out one (or two, I tame usually two at once) animals to different pen. When you do finally use the tame maneuver and the animal becomes calm (stop attacking you) the others from herd are still attacking you, just move a bit away from the herd, so the attacks cease out (do not enter any building, you will reset the taming process).
Then come back and attack any of the animals from the herd (not one of those you tame, just different one) and because they use herd-attack even the one of yours attacks you and you do not have to wait and can continue taming.

Two animals at once usually take like 30 mins.

(U have to hold two ropes to tame two at once)

Thought loftar says you can tame as many animals as ropes in your inventory, or did that change?

It didn't change, as long as you remember which rope is which animal when swapping animals to tame it works perfectly fine. You can do the same to lead animals around (move 20+ cows at a time? Why not! )
