Finding sand

Hi there players

So, I searched high and low for sand, found about 3-4 lakes, walking, navigating thorough the river.
But I could't find any sand, no beachs.

Could someone please help me, a pic of how beach looks, or where I can find it.
And sorry for my english haha.

Beach is the only type of tile that looks like.. beach?
Lakes are your best bet, keep looking.

They have about the same colour as sand, on minimap as well.

Do you need Pottery to use Dig? Can you get the LP to learn that in the starter area?
