Could not connect to server?

I don't understand why I can't connect back to the server.
I logged out while in the forest, so I don't understand why I can't get back in.
This has happened to me twice now, and I made a new character the second time.
I don't like the fact that every time I log out, I have to make a new character to play.
Am I doing something wrong, or is there something wrong with my computer?
I have internet connection when I try and log in, and even when I get the "Could not connect to server" message.
What should I do?

Ahh.
It was working for me about an hour to an hour and a half ago, so I didn't know if I was doing something wrong, or if it was the server.

It varies, sometimes it gets put back up within the hour, other times it takes a while. Be patient or go do other things.
