Any tips on gaining LP?

Postby Killamoocow » Wed Nov 24, 2010 1:20 am

I just started this game a few days ago and am still trying to get a hang of things. I have most of the basics down as for what resources I need and how to get them, but my main problem at the time being is gaining learning points efficiently. So far, cutting trees is STILL my fastest way of gaining learning points. This wouldn't be much of an issue, aside from the fact that I really don't get anything valuable from it, nor is it even that fast. It makes me really wonder how people gain thousands of LP for skills/skill values that cost as much as they do. Do I really need to cut trees for hours? Or are there certain ways people gain LP faster? I know there is hunting, but I need more marksmanship for that to be efficient enough. So far I only have 7 levels in to it (big mistake there on my part, only because I could have used those points on other skills I need right now) and that hasn't gotten me anywhere. As I asked, could anyone lend me a few tips on gaining LP more efficiently?

Well, I started somewhat of a farm so far. I have some wheat and poppies. I guess it's a start, but I still have to wait for them to grow... Thanks anyways.

I have another question while I'm at it, does anyone have the picture of the skill tree? I've seen a couple of links to it and they're both 404'd.. Would appreciate it.

Eh, that sucks. I can still use the wiki to find out what skills I can use, but I wanted to see the whole picture. Once again, thanks.

Level you carpentry and survival to 10.
Make Q10 stone axe and saw.
Chop down trees and make boards.
Make buckets with the boards.

Ohh, the quality of the wood you get effects how much LP you get when you build with it?
