People around me are dying

I noticed quite a few dead bodies appearing in the area around my little settlement. I stumbled across two places that had Russian on runestones with a dead body near them. How long until they find me? Anything I can really do or just accept it when it comes? I have been focusing on improving exploration and marksmenship to help me out with hunting and seeing things. I do have a claim but I am sure that that wouldn't stop them...

A palisade would give you some protection if you don't already have one. It probably wouldn't be too hard for them to build a ram a break it down, but hopefully the effort alone would deter them. They're also not that bad to put up if you have the leather and rope available(unless you're real far away from a forest). It only took me ~4 hours to get a decent sized one up around my place.

Another wave of "We'v seen russian runestones!" panic #1 posts from week old characters. Gotta start putting down skeletons of my alts killed by animals around my place with runestones in korean. That'll scare away some unwanted neighbours. Thanks for idea.

btw, i found 4 russian runestones around me. "Where am i?", "For sale", and two runestones near two player skeletons, don't remember exact text, but something about "We revenged you death, bear is down. Rest in peace". Time for me to start bothering.

i'll start on that asap. its just strange that i have only seen a few ppl (the last I saw caught me while I was in a boat and well...they did awful things to me) and I've been seeing more and more skeletons. you can't pick them up can you?
