Multiple Beehives Together?

Right now I don't have enough crop fields to warrant having multiple beehives spaced out. However, I need wax for hardened leather really bad, so I am wondering--if I have a bunch of beehives in a row that 'use' the same crops as each other, will they still produce wax and honey? Right now I don't care much about the quality. I just need to make some Traveller's Sacks.

They will interfere with one another and stunt honey/wax production. You will get less honey and wax like this.

You do want to worry about QL when making Traveller sacks... Below 20QL will only give you a horizontal slot, at and above will give you a horizontal and vertical slot.

If you use high quality string, the hardened leather really doesn't matter. q1 wax is fine if you're willing to sacrifice a deer hide to make straps out of. If you're really desperate, q100+ bear hide straps will make any traveler sack into a decent one.

Alright, I moved my beehives around so that they're each on their own two fields. Hopefully that'll be fine.

What Q leather, wax, and string do I need for Q20 sacks? What about what skills I need? Cause a V and H expansion would be nice instead of just a single expansion.

strangely, one part of my farm has got 2 beehives (for rebuilding) which are interfering each other for more than half of the radious. i was originally planning to remove one of them, but havent got a chance to do so, and i see both of them seem to be producing honey and wax at the same or similar rate as other beehives. could be my illusion, so i would like to hear more in details

It has been reported before on many accounts that beehives within each other's radius will slow production of wax and honey if not prevent it entirely. Then again, beehives do all sorts of strange things without very much explanation. While I can't give you a definitive answer, that is the general sense of caution that has been displayed on the forum to the best of my knowledge. I believe there was a thread recently that was looking into it a bit more indepth in search of how to make high quality wax. You may find more, and more elaborate, answers there.

oh i see. well, sorry but your line sounded like you had already drawn a conclusion to it and misread it as you or your friends had confirmed the results or something.
