food for world 5

well since they took the bread away from the starting chest, it has gotten hard to survive for me and my group all we can hope to find is foraged food and everyone knows those take you far with 5 people. we are hardly surviving. and I would like to know aside from having know fish or fruit trees anywhere near us.

anyone know any other food source??? aside from farming and hunting hunting also a no go at the moment!

Foraging!! You can eat the blueberries you find--great for int!--as well as the spindly taproots if you get desperate. I always pump my starting toons up to 10 foraging and I've never needed the bread. While you're out finding food, you should run across a rabbit or two. Ants are great, too. If you don't have enough unarmed to just stand there and soak the attacks (about 7 or 8) while you raid the ant hill, start to raid it, walk away, then when you're far enough away, run back (and I do mean run) and raid it before the ants catch back up.

Duuuuuuude that sucks. Can y'all swim to shore? You'll need someone to get you a rabbit so you can build a saw so you can build a boat.

don't get me wrong there are rabbits just that there was only one so we all have to share it and the stupid thing where you have to discover how to make something and the point that you can't just build a saw after getting a stupid bone you have to kill the rabbit YEA I AM DISPLEASED WITH THIS NEW NON NOOB FRIENDLY SETUP.

aside from that we get by little by little all that stuff!

wait until you meet other people and they take your shit or break your boat because your fishing and everyone is starving for fish

best advice I can give is go high explo, get some nettle clothing to jump survival to about 10 and then look around for good water to tan hides to make a sling and maybe hunt a bear or boar to make an even better sling
