What determines fish quality in world 5, it can't be nodes, cause im catching piece of shit fish everywhere.

It's definitely affected by the gear, dunno about survival but survival affects the crafting of the gear so yeah.

Not sure the exact values though.

It is its own node. Your fishing gear just sucks ass and is soft capping the fuck out of fish. Get better string, bone hooks, poles, and bait.

The combination of the pole, the string, the hook, and the lure is the supposedly softcap of the fish.

I tested tjat in the exact same spot. Bait quality never helped other than bait seems to be a hardcap, Hook quality never helped. The only thing other than good nods that seemed to increase quality is survival. This was in world 4 me fishing the same spot so there was almost no fish quality difference other than over fishing. The only thing the gear might be unless it has changed is a hardcap? So it seems like no one has any idea at how the quality of fish comes about other than there are good quality nods.

I was using q 60+ everything but string q50+ and pole was q10 and still got q12-13 fish so I am not sure.
