Questions to terraformers

How long did it take you to terraform grassland into moor, so it be large and uniform enough? And how large it was? Was it useful for hunting aurochs?

It is hard to say how long because it is rather random. If your goal is to hunt aurochs, they spawn on grassland which is easier to control.

If your goal is to hunt aurochs

Yes.

I've seen them on moors more often than on other terrain and never seen them to spawn on grassland appeared because of deforestation...

Aurochsen do spawn on grassland formed by deforestation.

They definitely do spawn on grasslands as well. But to answer your original question of how long it takes; It takes a fuckload of time to just get a small group of moor tiles going. It is far far easier to just plant a huge field of grass for auroch hunting then it is to wait for moor tiles to naturally "grow" and slowly slowly plow to slightly help.

It is far far easier and less time consuming to make a grassland
But I believe that auroch and sheep spawn on moor more often then they do on grasslands however

how on earth do you control the formation of moor? Doesn't grassland grow on deforested tile? I know you can plant grass too, but how does moor form?

By plowing grassland and leaving it plowed...

It turns back into grassland though, in my experience...
