Getting rid of absent Lawspeaker

Postby ysbryd » Tue May 24, 2011 6:52 am

I checked search and the last posts on this topic were 2010 and didnt give me any solutions.
I have been told to get the authority down to less than 50k which would allow another member of the village to take lawspeaking.. but nothing is happening..
Please dont tell me I have to destroy the idol and build another one, complete with about ten banners too...
Help?
Can anybody fly this thing?

I remember seeing other topics about this very same problem but it was a year or two ago. I think you're stuck with the Lawspeaker, guy. You might have to destroy your Idol and rebuild it.

Jorbtar if you read this.. how about the ls has to interact with the idol once a month or he and the rest of the village get flagged that the ls position is available? If the village is happy with him no one else will take it. Same with chieftan?

Better: just have the LS logging in on a regular basis... however, does it really solve the problem?

What is needed is more of a political system where the village can kick the LS out.

Back to the OP: The easiest way to get authority down would be to set up a safe spot nearby and have everyone leave the village. You don't want anyone earning any Auth for the village to speed things up. Make sure to pack everything you're going to want/need. Once the authority drops below 50k, anyone with Lawspeaking can claim the right of LS in that village. You can then reinvite everyone back. If you have a Chieftain, they might be able to burn Auth up a bit faster using some of their abilities.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Thanks for the help but second part of your post is not correct. Got the authority down to 50k, nothing, 30 k nothing... zero... still no option.. only thing that worked was destroying the damn thing. And yes everyone left the village. Am currently building new idol and scratching around for rubbish bones.... wouldnt you just know I would have boiled em up two days ago, and now have cupboards full of bone glue and no actual bones *sob.

Edit.. even tried logging off and back in... zip zilch zero...

1) did the person trying to claim LS have lawspeaking
2) Chieftain can't claim LS for some stupid reason

cant agree more.
i had the same problem on w3 before, but managed to get him to log in once by spam-mailing irl back then
so i had never bothered thinking about it since...but this really needs to be fixed.

as far as i hear, you have to either kill LS or LS has to leave the village in order to take over the village atm.
(that is why some people use an alt for LS and never logs into the game except for special occasions, right?)

Damnit.

I was always told villagers could take it if the auth is <50k but I guess I learned wrong.

Do you still need bones? =/
