A question of cellar preportions

Postby Sevenless » Sat Jun 11, 2011 6:56 pm

What happens if you build a second cellar in a house that already has one? I'm assuming it leads to the same cellar (actually that's what I'm hoping for). Do you need to dig that one out as well if it does lead to the same cellar?

Same cellar, don't need to dig out anything if I recall correctly.

I don't think that is true, unless it has been changed. Last time I tried this was in world 2 though. Only one cellardoor would work back then.

Tried it in W3, they lead to the same cellar. Which one you actually come out of though, is rather unclear.

I believe you DO have to dig out both but feel free to correct me on that one.

Other than for bug testing, I think I'll let the unknown answer stand. I'm sure there's someone around that's obsessive enough to get the answer, though.

Also, I call this a bug. What's the point of building a second entrance? A a second (or tertiary, etc) exit in case one is blocked? Is that even possible? If so, why not cover the entire floor in cellar doors?

You could do this I suppose. AS for why, if someone chases you in a house they may not be guarding the right one to get you in time :D Would be fun.

A lot of neat things can happen with it, also perhaps you may want to have one exit near the stairs in a mansion and one near a door, depending on your current use.

While there is little reason for it, it's like 'shrug'.

Oh, and hmm.. if you are chasing someone into a cellar (and let's say you don't need to dig boulders) you can very quickly make a new one and chase 'em down. Of course they'll probably warp out by then, but still it gives you that choice.

I could just so see this turning into some sort of cartoon chase of people popping in and out of different doors!
