Populations?

Postby warhamer » Fri Jul 01, 2011 12:07 am

Seemed like the best place to put this thread so heres my question. Where do poeple think that the least populated part of the world is or the part of the world with the least amount of villages? I'm wondering cause the area I was in I abonded cause of the threat of dying and now I want to travel to an area where I won't expect as much competition in making a village or hermiting.

Id say probably central south or eastern south of the map, although there are large areas all over the world that are abandoned
Can anybody fly this thing?

The majority of the map is underpopulated considering how large it is, although the edges tend to be much less active.

The far SE still looks pretty empty, and I would have said the same for the area of it I'm in. However, in the last few weeks, there's been at least two major new settlements there. Seems like people are starting to spread out more. There's a reason for the SE being empty, though. Resources are mostly crap.

I fled the central S because it was just overpopulated just after server start. People might have quit or driven to other areas since then.

I know from a reliable source that the southwestern/western grids were frequently under attack by Russians with palisade bashers, which means a lot of the smaller settlements may have left and only big ones remain.

Do you know if the Russian pali bashers are still there?

south west is the best in the corner grid. i lived there and travelled all over the place.. places are all abandoned or a claimed roundpole...

the only large city's i have found there has been lost caverns which i think is abandoned or just a few people popping on at random times... and aphrodite which is a sorta large place.. but as far as ive seen they keep to them selves... never seen em outside their walls the whole time we were neighbours
