I got the dimension at or below 90 pixels and below 19kb but I tried using gif jpg and png but it keeps giving me the "This file cannot be displayed because the extension is not allowed." error.

It happens to me sometimes when uploading pictures to tinypic. If it's the same error I usually get, then you should be able to fix it by changing the file name. If the extension is in caps (for example, pic.JPG), make it so it's all lowercase and change the original name of the picture as well (for example, to pic2.jpg).

I don't see an option for uploading a picture from a website, only from my hard drive (not signature, that's no problem). Otherwise I would.

Make sure when changing the extension, you are doing it by editing it with a program to that extension, and not by directly editting the file name.

I misunderstood Radenk's reply to you; he mentioned having the same problem with Tinypic and I read it as him suggesting them for a host. Tinypic has been an inferior imagehost ever since Photobucket took them over (those bastards) so I've been linking Imgur out of habit whenever someone suggests using TP/PB/IS
Most forums allow you to link an offsite image for your avatar, I guess ours is just a failure!
