Can't make a winepress or tea pots...

Hello, I am fairly new to the game and I just gotta say this game is awesome. I have progressed pretty far in this game as I got lucky enough to get a wide variety of seeds and whatnot early on from a very nice player.

Anyway, to my problem. I have grapes and I have tea leaves but I cannot make a winepress or a tea pot / mug. I have winemaking and pottery. Whenever I check to see under ceramics for a unburnt tea pot all I have is the jar and treeplanter's pot, and when I look under B>T I can't find my winepress, it just shows a churn, quern, spinning wheel, loom, and the wooden plow.

So do I need to gather another skill or what? I am not really seeing why I can't make any of these things.

Also I have glassmaking and tons of raw glass but I can't make anything with it.. I wonder why

You need to discover wine and tea, if I recall correctly.
Just like you need to discover tobacco in order to make pipes.

Ah, I guess that is gonna be a major problem considering I can't make wine without a winepress lol. But thanks anyway man, at least I won't be left wondering why I can't make these items..

I think he meant discovering tea leaves and grapes.
You have to discover them, not receive from someone or find in a container

I've found plenty of grapes and harvested and grown tea leaves but I can build either of these either.

you need to harvest grapes and have winemaking skill, as well as discovered all materials for winepress.
For tea pot you need to discover dried tea leaves by taking them from herbalist table. Plus pottery skill

I have. I've harvested plenty of wild grapes eaten a few even still nothing. Do I have to happen to find the seeds in a pod and grow them then harvest?

what about boards? and the specific materials needed for the actual winepress? have udiscovered those too??

and u need to have put tea leaves on a herbalist table and allowed to either turn to green tea leaves or black tea leaves to open up tea making, as long a suve dug clay for the pots. fresh tea leaves do not make tea.

discover both green and black tea leaves in a herbalsit table and u should also open up sears tea leaves curio.

Wiki doesn't say it's needed for winepress, but it's not always correct. If you really have discovered all materials and grapes...
Also, make sure you have bucket discovered (crafted).

It's worth a try, but I don't recall needing Basic Mechanics for a winepress. My memory could be faulty, though, and as you say, wiki has been known to be wrong.
