Feasting

Build a bonfire, load it up with fuel, light it, and feast away. There is a minimum requirement to how much fuel the bonfire needs before you can light it (it will change sprite when it's possible to light it). By feasting in sight of the grand fire, you can eat even more, the bonus determined by the collected hunger modifiers of all active tables, factored by the average charisma of everyone at the party. Please note that the FEP-bonus is only ever applied to the table in question, never shared with the extended party in any way. The person with the highest charisma should light the bonfire, as charisma of the host of the evening is obviously relevant for the bonus.

Can someone explain to me in more detail what this means? How do the hunger modifiers of the different tables add, and what difference does charisma make?
Also how is the FEP-bonus calculated?

Also, which table does "table in question" refer to?

There's a whole article on feasting and FEPs on the HnH wiki

http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/FEP

http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/Table

Adding things like forks, cups etc lower the total amount of hunger bar that is filled when you eat a certain food and if the items added to the table are good enough they'll also increase the stat bonus effect of the food on top of the Q. (From what I understand)

If the FEP entry isn't clear to you, please let me know. I've taken it to be my pet project. :) My writing tends towards the mechanical, so I'm always looking for help on making it more reader friendly.

Also, if it's not mentioned anywhere, the quality of your table and chair provide feasting bonuses as well. I don't think I included on the FEP entry.

More information about feasting can be read here, too: http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/The_Symbel. Note that this isn't required to get the normal feasting bonus, only to use a bonfire for a dinner party.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

The FEP article is great :)

The only bit of info that I didnt know that you guys have said/linked to is this:

thanks :)

But...

I would still like to know if it is "worth it" to synchronize my villages eating as much as possible. How big ARE the bonuses for feasting @ a bonfire? None of those articles make it clear at all what actually happens...

Can you only have one table active at a feast? or if I put 6 around the fire will they all get some kind of buff (does not need to be FEP just something)

you can use multiple tables

bill: the feasting bonus can be quite awesome once you have good quality tableware, it's definitely worth doing if you're in a place that produces a decent amount of food

Great! Reading the RoB wiki it sounded like you could only have one table at a feast and though that was lame. :P

It is definitely worth it. Hunger can drop down to I think we had 5% or so lately. So the FEP bonus isn't so great, but you can gobble up alot in one sitting. Also, don't forget the social aspect. It is what makes feasts really worth it IMO.

Jorb used to get a notification when 5 or more people sat down for a feast, dunno if that is true anymore. But back in w3 he used to show up for Sodom feasts a couple of times to leave a cape or two ;)
