How do I summon?

I recently got attacked and then when that failed, griefed by a couple of idiots from or near Beginner's Tribe, for reasons unknown. I kind of need to get rid of them before I feel safe to build a ram to break back into my own home.

I have been tracking the one who left the assault scent's hearthfire, and I'm not sure how to summon, or if I'm even tracking the fire. Will it allow to track a hearth fire if it is in a cave or house?

If the HF is in a house then the scents will lead you to the house. If the HF is underground then it will lead you to directly above where the HF is. You can only summon someone if you can see the HF on your screen by lifting the scents up with your cursor and right clicking the HF.

You cannot summon with assault scents. You can summon with: theft, battery, vandalism, and murder.

Now I know. Guess I'll just have to ignore the fact I got griefed and hope they don't come back and kill me for whatever reason they might have.

Whilst on about scents I know you can forage on Village claims without leaving scents but is digging for soil or collecting water classed as foraging or would you leave scents?

Better idea: Don't walk around with criminal acts on. You can cross village territory without it.
