Hunting Fox in World 6

Has the way you hunt foxes changed in world 6? I was doing my first fox hunt ever, with a sling, and I was following the guide of the Wiki. I found a fox, waited till he stopped next to a tree. Then I quickly surrounded him with campfire construction posts with 1 branch in the each. I stepped back, shot at him with my sling, and he burst right through the posts and almost killed me. Is the construction post method no longer valid?

signposts only work from a boat, from land you need to make a round pole fence.

I have heard reports from others that foxes will now through a roundpole fence. I haven't confirmed myself (and won't until I can start clubbing them).

I have not tried myself nether but they will brake signposts 100% sure.

I've killed a few from fences, maybe your sources left an unlucky gap...

Mabye. I don't usually mess with foxes until I start making sausages.

...don't think I'd be as advanced as I am if not for all the advice I get here and as you're one of the 3 main contributors of that advice its just weird to me that you're not doing something that I've done days ago, didn't mean to hijack the thread

Ugh, I trapped a fox in a posts, but he keeps doing little forward jumps even though he's trapped, so my aim bar doesn't go high at all.

That is normal it is called a 'twitch' by most people, you need more marksmanship.

What'd you recommend as a decent marksmenship? I have 4 so far, but when i fought that fox i had 2. I also have a bow now, but I'm sticking with the sling untill i can make my quiver, which is probably tommorow.
