B12 axe

Postby shotgunn902 » Wed Feb 01, 2012 11:06 pm

is it worth it to get this axe or to stay with a SS and no shield? The IP requirements on the B12 are double that of a sword and in my eyes at least the B12's damage boost seems negligible compared to the SS especially cost wise. I know its a late game weapon, but for a UA/MC user is it even worth using over a SS? I've heard its like nearly chopping people in half but I wouldn't know. Advantages? Disadvantages? Much help would be appreciated. (I hope this is on the right subforum)

Many people, myself included, like the B12 for the greatness it is. If you are designed around melee combat and require the shield as part of your defense, then no, it won't be as useful. However, if you want to balance your combat around the B12, you'll find you can kill even the most heavily armed combatants with a few axe swings due to the damage penetration.

aye i have heard it brings the pain. quite personally i would never want to use a shield, but on ICA posts and such you see guys with SS and nothing in the other hand but a trav sack and knucks i presume. Am i missing something?

I personally don't like B12s. Double IP costs, cleave is completely useless, and a sword is more then capable of 1 shotting someone anyways.

exactly my question/point. idk WHY they would be more useful because the damage doesnt seem proportional to the IP costs

I would say the B12 is actually more of an ua weapon than for melee players. Not that the sword cannot have the same function, just saying.

B12 isn't much good for standing and exchanging blows, but boy does it demolish people caught on the move. And you don't really need points in melee for the latter, so it's a perfect weapon for a UA fighter.
