Fix it by claim your territory before build your little settlement.

how would i go about building up enough lp to obtain yeomanry without forming some sort of homebase where i can build and store things in order to expedite my advancement?

Nope, they now own that land. Without theft or vandalism you are without options on how to forcibly retake your belongings. You may try to negotiate with them to get your things back but that's up to you.

Well, not quite. If he could manage to get; Lawspeaking, and 30,000 LP, as well as the materials for it, he could drop a Village Claim and then revoke their claim. Depending on how big it is, of course.

This is true but we're discussing alternatives that cost tens of thousands of lp when edu is having trouble saving up 4,000.

Two things: change your belief to max peaceful and find a swamp to catch dragonflies, you can do both without owning anything and within two days from brand new you'll have enough LP to buy yeomanry. If you want it faster you can also get hunting and go raiding ant hills while your dragonflies are beeing studied.

This; Also, seriously. Raid every anthill you see. EVERY. LAST. ONE. There is no excuse for you not to pick Blueberries, Raid Anthills, and grab all the curios you can find while getting to max Peaceful/Change. If you can, barter the ants for higher q curios. Boat around (I know you can find/"Liberate"/Steal from another helpless noob) until you discover everything. After that; Boat more.

thanks guys. i'll read the guide and take on some of the tips that were mentioned in this thread.

the settlement i was building was on the edge between mudflats and a grassy deciduous forest. i had a nice little clay node found. had some kilns, an oven, a smelter and a crucible. also had a log cabin. had a nice stash of food gathered and some curiosities saved up for building up lp. so while speaking in regards to materials i have to start over, at least i have some skills built up. thanks again for the input!
