Gold and Silver

Do gold and silver occur in veins like all the other metal ores, or in some other way? Also, do they only occur on level 5 of the world, or is there hope for me to find some higher up?

Silver and gold occur in veins and do not have quality.
If I remember correctly silver is found on 2nd layer and lower and gold on 3rd layer and lower.

Damn.. I have always though that you can find gold only in level 5... or atleast I am told so..

Does silver ql ore matter for anything? (higher resource chance retrieval)?
Btw try caves for looking for silver. Gold is the hard part.
