How much STR is needed to mine?

Like the title, how much STR is needed to start mining? It keeps saying like the wall is way too strong for you.

Also, it's important to notice that the quality of the stone axe/pickaxe you are using to mine affects how much strength you need as well. The better the tool, the less strength you need. The hardness of the rock varies, so you are sometimes able to mine some tiles but not others.

It really depends to be honest. If you have a bear cape and a bear tooth tali u should be fine to mine almost all the way to level 3 with a q100 pick.

The equation for mining power is str*sqrt(q pickaxe)
Meaning someone with a q100 pick and 40 str (bout the amount a bear set will give) will mine just as well as 100 str and a q16 pickaxe.

Someone correct me if I'm mistaken, but I am pretty positive the equation is actually sqrt (pickaxe Q * str). And that is the effective "mining strength".

You are correct, it is indeed sqrt(PickaxeQ * STR).

It can depend. Pickaxes naturally mine faster than axes, but the difference in quality might make the difference in being able to mine or not being able to mine.

yeah, cuz i think some stuff i couldnt mine with a pickaxe but could with a stone axe.

Around 30 STR and ql 30+ tool for decent L1 mining.
If you cannot get STR FEP buy a low ql bear cape (That which would add the required 20 STR)
