Which goals in H&H ?

Hi,

i'm new,

i didn't test the gaMe because of the lag, but i have some questions.

My MMORPG experience is based on WOW only.
So in WoW, what makes you play ? Some guys wanna PVE and be the best in PVE, some guys wanna PVP in battlegrounds and others shitty arenas, and this to gain awesome items. Some others wanna have fun and play world PVP, so they try to master their character's skills (thats what i did).

Not much to do yes...

In this game it looks like there are tons of things to do but are there some "goals" like :

-mastering the combat system ? well i dont know if it is addictive, if it requires strategy or skills, i don't even know if it's in real time or turn based
-slaying Bosses ?
-becoming the most dangerous bandit ? (requires to master the combat system i guess)
-becoming the most famous bandit ?
-becoming the most famous headhunter ? policeman ?
-becoming a "mayor" ?
-becoming the richer ? by crafting, trading or stealing ?
-crafting awesome items that no one can ?
-taming unique animals ?

What goals do you try to achieve while playing this ?


Sorry if i explained bad, i'm french. I just want to know more about the game because it looks promising but also very complex at first sight.

This is a survival sandbox. You build a home -- or don't. You may try your hand at hunting, banditry, law but you will probably die in the process. You can live off of the land or dedicate yourself to forging the finest tools and weapons. The only real point of the game, in the end, is surviving.

You will see a lot of people constantly complaining on the forums because they have died. Congratulations, this is part of the game. It is probably going to happen to you too at some point. Perhaps you'll drown or starve or pick a fight with a bear or simply be murdered by bandits. That is the fun of a survival game, though many will disagree.

There are no bosses in this game and every village and empire is built by the hands of players. You can dedicate yourself to constructing something like this or enjoy your time as a simple hermit. This all makes defining a goal difficult.

"You may try your hand at hunting, banditry, law" thats exactly what i plan to do but i hope the combat system is "fun"...

Otherwise making some kind of politics could be interesting but i really dont know how it could be possible so i asked...

Those are all decent goals, but in my opinion only one real goal exists.

yes surviving ok


but when you becoem stronger and experienced, if the only threat is "bears and boars" i doubt there is a challenge, so i wonder if there are people killing eachother, groups of people destroying cities etc...

From what i understood, in this kind of game there are always people who like to live peacefully (lol i find this fun) and make a city, so it's necessary to have people who want to destroy their city, take the city or IDUNNO lol... If not, it would be pretty boring...

There are indeed large empires and they do indeed wage war against one another. Even smaller villages raid each other. That is just part of the every day.
