I cant find bones for the life of me.

Hello everyone.

I have reached a point in the game where I need bones to continue. I need a bone saw to build any structures more advanced than what I have now (a leanto) and I need a bone hook to fish. The wiki and many other sources claim bones to be an ''''''''''easy''''''''' source for these tools, however I cannot seem to find any corpses or rabbits what so ever.

I've walked distances of about 300 screens or more multiple times and I've encountered 1 rabbit ever and 0 animal corpses. I see lots of human skeletons but no animal.


What am I doing wrong that I can't find this "Easy" to get martial?

if you get the hunting skill you can catch the rabbit, then butcher it and you will get a bone. BTW where on the map are you?

Nah...really don't feel like fighting a half finished java program for hours on end that I 'might' be abler to get working because it 'might' help me. At least not right now. It looks interesting (and I'll probably get it later) but I was hoping for an answer like "Level up ______ skill"

Enders client is pretty easy to install, I didn't fight with it at all. You get to see a full screens worth of land around your chap and animals show up with a circle so you don't walk past them. I wouldn't fancy my chances of finding a rabbit in the original client.

I have no idea where I am, or what 'hs' stands for. Im guessing hs = heath fire location? and I havn't a clue. sorry.


Also why is it so frustratingly hard to obtain this basic, tear 1 resource?

On your dial thing at the bottom of your page, there are several icons, if you click the heart it will bring up a page and on that you can set a hearth secret. if you type something in there and then press set. this sets your hearth secret or HS. then if you like you can pm it to me.

you dont need to level up a skill to grab a rabbit or chickens. you jsut need hunting. Its really jsut abt walking around and finding them, and enders will help with that sicne u can hide trees,rocks, buildings it highlights animals for you, u can get light when its dark, the screen is bigger. so its not an issue of 'might' help you it' will' help you.
