Fishing Issues

I know you have to fish where fish are jumping, but my character refuses to cast the line when I right-click on the jumping fish. What am I doing wrong?

disassemble and check your fishing gears, probably some part wore out

Have fishing gear equipped, have your inventary open and your charscreen, now left click an earthworm (lure) in your inventory, drag it over the top of the fishing pole, right click to attach it to hook...then
you should see a fishing cursor, left click on the deep water at the border to shallow water where fish are, your char goes there and drops the hook into water...

You need to be out on the water to fish dude..that or the shallows..
