is anyone else able mine? I cant even mine one sq without shit falling on me

lol well ive mined ALOT. just I cant even mine one sq with out things falling now. wondering y. cuz that's never happened to me. normal I mine one sq then build a support, but I cant even mine one spot to build one. not that I have the metals for it anyway =\

Apparently both straight mining and snake mining have been fixed. Is there anyone who can confirm this?

Where snake mining not meant to exist?
When you say it's been fixed, does that mean it's not possible anymore?
