about fishing (World 7)

So i've checked the web as much as i can for an answer and I hear alot about moon phases, but what i haven't been able to find is information on times
For example, by my place there isn't a single fishing spot at all. Is that because there just isn't? or will the time of day change things.
I understand you can catch different fish by different moon phases, but do fishing nodes pop up at certain times of day? I find it hard to beleive
that within 10 minutes each direction of me I can't find a single fishing spot.

Could someone shine some light on this for me please? =)

Since this stymied me intensely lately:

New Moon + river = brill

This seemed to be true during both day and night. HOWEVER near the end of the new moon phase perch showed up again. So it might not be as simple as which moon is up, it might also depend on which portion of that moon phase you're in.

It definitely needs some light shining on it, getting a bit irritated now. Sailed around 4 different lakes now and not found a single jumping fish. I've no idea if its a case of, you can always see a fishing spot. or you can only see them when the time is right

In W3 I spent a LOT of time working on a fishing table (which I sadly lost at the death of a PC by lightning) and the best I could get, after a massive amount of repitition was to narrow some of it down a little. There are simply far too many variables and seemingly very likely RNG involved to know what you are more likely to catch where and when.

I'm pretty sure fishing spots are around at all times of day. You might really just not have any near you.

It's also possible that you're missing the fish jumping though - they only jump every, oh, five seconds or so? Just off the top of my head/memory, it may even be more. And they jump around at different points in the node, so if you're just looking at one tiny bit of river (like if you're standing inland), they just might not be showing up jumping there for a good while, even if there's technically a node there.

So make sure you go slowly and look carefully over as much of the river/lake as you can.

Well, I must be the most unlucky person on earth O-o... Does seeing the fishing spots have something to do with your EXP score? because i've saw a couple of nodes now in rivers. about 5 different nodes in all with ALOT of sailing.
But at all lakes i've been to ( lost count of them now ) roughly 8 lakes. Still not a single jumping fish in sight. Am i doing something wrong? I've tried relogging in case my character was somehow bugged and unable to see them, but to no avail.

Is anyone else having massive difficulty in finding Lake fishing spots specifically? whether it be shallow or deeps because i can't find either.
