WWW's

Postby Robben_DuMarsch » Sat Jun 08, 2013 9:54 pm

Why are my WWW's being reduced in quality after they are drying?

I put them on the racks, come back later, and the quality reduction has been anywhere from 20% to 50%, even for WWW's that are within 10% of one another's quality. These WWW's were picked just yesterday, and it is seemingly random the reduction.

What is happening, and how do I fix this?

It's fairly random if I remember correctly.

Ahhh, I see, so they will be in quality up to the quality of the WWW, based on random chance?

Pretty much. I'm sure there's some mathematics behind it, but I wouldn't concern yourself with them. Drying 10 different q50 WWWs can get you anything from q25 to q46 seeds, of all different varieties.

I've gotten full quality as well. First time I've ever seen it though.

from what I've seen so far in my experiment it may be based on the farming skill of the person who puts it on the frame...some sort of soft cap? might be a different skill, or even a combination of a skill and attributes, but when I use a no stat noob I get lower numbers than when using a hearthling with some farming. this is not conclusive for now and my xperiment will continue.

Has anyone noticed WWW's coming from the same spot having a higher likelihood of being the same sort of seed, or is that just a myth?

Each map tile spawns a single seed type. Tile right near my base spawns peppercorns for example. Every WWW will be of that type from that location.

Can confirm this is not true. I have 1 farming and I've seen ranges from 50% of WWW quality to 100%.

Before my 100% WWW, I was under the impression that the WWW was softcapped by drying rack as if it were a Q0 herbalist table. But I don't know what to think now.
