Marco Polo's Skull Vs. Underdeveloped Hearthling Skull

Postby r0ck4ev3r » Mon Jun 24, 2013 7:40 pm

How does one get a Marco Polo's Skull - Required By: Skull Cup, Skull Pole
I am assuming it is different then an Underdeveloped Hearthling Skull...

edit: A Marco Polo's Skull is a skull with a quality of 15 or higher. Skull's below a quality of 15 become a Underdeveloped Hearthling Skull???

I got an underdeveloped quality 46 skull. I am guessing that the difference in name may instead be related to the intelligence of the dead character.

The mental weight of a Marco Polo's Skull is the victims Intelligence/2.

A Skull's quality is equal to the Psyche of the player it was contributed by.

If you got an underdeveloped skull q46, then how do we get Marco Polo's Skulls?

Interesting, maybe it has to do with how much lp was gained before death then?

jorb probably made a weird messed up system for the skulls, just to screw with us.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

The word on the street is that skulls are only developed if the player has 500k+ lp. Might not be 100% true though, but it's a pretty sensible idea I guess to prevent alt abuse and newbie slaughter.

all skulls under a certain INT are underdeveloped I think. "marco polo's skull" isnt actually a separate curio. the reason the wiki says "marco polo's skull" as the name of the curio is because one of the first few pics of a skull was one flame posted a pic of one of his alts skulls and didn't pick it up when the pic was taken and no one has corrected it yet. the alts name was, of course, marco polo. the coincidence would be a strange one if "marco polo's skull" was actually a separate curio after all.
