Using The General Fuel Glitch With Smelters

Postby Drawman » Fri Apr 04, 2014 8:56 am

I searched about how to use general fuel bug with a smelter, but couldn't find exact recipe; so i tried to find it by myself.
and fortunately i found it, and right now i want to share it with you guys.

- Place the ore in the smelter, and then place the coals. ( Thanks to Borka. )

-Leave that stuff for 16 minutes and 39 seconds without clicking anything.( Thanks to Borka Again. )

- When the time passed, go and click " Light " button, and leave the ores to get smelted.

- After the required time passed, your ores are all smelted.

Congratulations :)

* I wanted to mention that;

- The character who mined the ores will affect how many bars you can get from the ores, not the character who smelts it.
So, mine with a character which have full industry belief, with doing that you will get more bars when compared to any character who doesn't have full industry belief.

- And i suggest you all to use the charcoal with the possible greatest quality, you'll feel the difference when you use high quality equipment.

Good Luck...

- Place the coal in the smelter, and then place the ores.

this is exactly wrong because you drop in ore and the "ticking" starts ...

RoBWiki wrote:If items are placed in a cooking device (such as an oven, a smelter or a kiln) without lighting the fuel, the items will accumulate "ticks" towards their completion at the normal rate until there is only one tick left.

RoBWiki wrote:One tick is 5 minutes and 33 seconds real-time.

now you have 3 ticks without coal -3 x 5 min 33 sec - which is 16 mins 39 sec

you drop in one coal, light and the last tick does the smelting

Practically you drop in ore and 1 coal, do some other stuff for a while and then light the smelter...

" Smell like low " ?
As a non-native speaker, i don't have an idea what that means, and can't find anything on dictionaries.
And i edited the post, so thanks about the corrections.

I can surely say it was something negative, but i was just not sure about that.
And guys, c'mon take it easy I'm not saying i gave tons of information, i was just trying to be useful.
Maybe I'm not as clever as you guys but understanding that " tick " thing was not easier than my explanation.
and i suggest we should carry on from pms, because the whole thing is going somewhere else.
you guys are screwed up my courage to write...
