Can't tame animals

I don't have high enough unarmed to even harm a goat, but when ever I use my bow, I always kill them before I can get full combat advantage, 2 initiative points, and less then 1 combat intensity (what IS combat intensity?) How do I tame them without killing them?

3. Consume flames
4. Sidestep
5. Tame animal

Of course, you'll have to repeat some steps. The idea is, you shouldn't be hitting the animal at all.

consuming the flame hurts too much, i find this method much better.

yeah hitting it will raise the intensity, which you want to keep at 0

Dodge is a bit easier on the armour. Consuming the flames just means you'll have to eat a bit more chicken. My dex was seven points behind my other stats, and now it has caught up

With meditation I never see intensity go above zero.

Also, use frogs/rat to hold/gain init with opknock while waiting for the cow/sheep to buck.

I never use either consume the flames or npng

is it possible to kill all the cow except the one you want ? so they dont all hit you hard ?
