Protect my property?

Postby xndr_78 » Thu Feb 11, 2010 6:15 am

Is it possible to round my territory by walls with gate so nobody could get in? (except maybe destroying wall section).

well i think you need the will to power and farming for yeomanry, which, if i remember correctly, is required for the log wall. it also lets you claim land, which is more important than the wall.

You need to have two wall posts two tiles apart. If you have that right click on one of the posts and you get the option to build a gate, much the same as building a wall part or a post.

You need the skill 'Locks and Bolts'

To acquire it you need 'Stone Working' then 'Metal Working', 'Lumberjacking' then 'Carpentry' then 'Wheelmaking' then 'Basic Mechanics' and finally 'Locks and Bolts'. A lot of LP

Another tip to protect Property is leaving places nearby rivers, many plp explores using just the river.

Yes, stay away from rivers, downside is the need for a well and clay is a pain. Since you don't need much clay (just the initial bit to build up. You can use a cart and 4 cubboards, that should get you enough to get started.

Not sure but dont you need metal for lock and gates?

Palisade gate is just 30 blocks. You only need wrought nuggets if you want to make copies of the key.
