Um.. What the?

Postby BaneStar » Thu Mar 11, 2010 11:58 am

maybe there needs to be more info.. or something buggy happened..

I was chopping down my local forest, clearing off the branches and fur and such before doing so.. I cut them all from the tree, drop them on the ground, and then chop down the tree, cut up the logs, then proceed to the next tree..

But 'BING' all my branches, fur, nettles, etc, just up and dissapeared?

The night before I thought that someone had stolen all my stuff that I had left lying around, but now.. I'm not so sure?? do things naturally dissapear if you leave them everywhere?

Also.. why can I not build a stone path? or houses? when I try, it just refuses me....

Things you leave on the ground will disappear after a while, so store them in containers.

To pave the ground you need to plow it first. To build a house you need paved ground or grassland.

Well in a way it kind of is, just think of it as a more sped up real-life survival.

Ever heard of the circle of life? Things you leave on the ground get reintegrated to the nature, then get processed to something else (like new branches on trees, cows on a grassland etc).

Stop chopping every tree you see. If you keep clear cutting then you're going to end up getting murdered, and rightfully so.

Amen to that, I see a whole plain of chopped up trees just sitting there with no one nearby, what a waste

How do you know the wood wasn't used for something? If you mean by "Chopped up" that the logs are laying there still, then nothing has been "wasted" as the wood is there for legit use when needed. Nothing wrong with clear cutting if you do not waste the logs, leave fruit trees standing and be respectful of any local settlers.

What about all the potential branches that are lost when you clear-cut? Those trees could've kept someone's ovens or crucibles running.
