Two questions.

Hey! Two questions.
First, how do you get things like necromancer's robes and ranger's cloaks?
Second, Who are those random NPC people I find walking around in the red capes?
Thanks!

You'll need clothmaking for necromancer cloaks and Ranging for ranger's equipment.

You'll need to burn bread to get ashes, and I assume you already know how to get yarn.
Ranger's equipment require linen and steel, with the exception of ranger boots which require leather instead of linen.
You see a masterful engraving by Blaze. On it is Blaze, bears, boars, and foxes. Blaze is striking down the bears. The boars are screaming. The foxes are in a fetal position. The image relates to the return of Blaze in the late winter of 2009.

You need the murder skill for that cloak.

Do those items confer special stat bonuses? I heard that Ranger's gear boosts Exploration; it'd be nice to have some criminal equivalent.

ranger stuff boosts both stealth and exploration. and necro cloak boosts int so you could see that as boosting your ability to steal stuff.

Ranger shirts and ranger capes give +10 stealth each, ranger pants give +5 stealth and +5 exploration.
Vigilantism is also considered a crime, so it's balanced.

Thanks for the info. As more types of equipment are developed, we ought to attempt some sort of comprehensive list of the different bonuses. As far as ranger cloaks go, what slots do they take up? Are they like bear skins - helm and back?
