Tanning Tub

Does a hearthling have to do something specific to earn the tanning tub? I purchased leatherworking but it dosen't show up in my purchased skills list. I have the ability to make cloaks and the bear thing but can't make a backpack out of bunny skins either. I have looked everywhere for more information with no luck. Any help would be appreciated. :))

I have tried it several times. If no one else is having trouble, I must just be missing something. Thanks for all the advice though. I really appreciate it. :)

It's almost certainly leatherworking. (And I was sewing rabbits together a long time before I got husbandry, so it's not that.)

While we're on the subject...does the quality of the tanning tub affect the leather quality?

I'm really confused now....... I know that I purchased leatherworking and I have a little pinkish button that says leatherworking when you rollover it with the mouse but it does not show up in the available skills menu or the current skills menu. I have the ability to make a cloak or a bear cape. Here is a screenshot of both menus if that helps.
