Caves, are there yet?

Hi everybody, I have a question. I have travelled the world of H&H with my friends, but we didn't find a cave. My question is: are there caves yet?

Uh... Caves are very much in-game.

Yes there are. Look for them in the sides of the cliff faces that appear all over the place. They just look like holes in the side of the cliff.

Do I have to use the prospect skill to find caves?

No, they are just holes in ridges.

What is the point of there being caves? I found nothing but a few tiny rock deposits.

I found a mine, visually, in the first cave I ever explored. You can also find cave bulbs inside at higher perception*exploration.

Edit: Mines in caves are rare though, don't get your hopes up.

really, dont get your hopes up, most mines in caves generally have theyr entrances blocked off with a wall.

And if you do have ANY luck in finding one, they mostlikely are in so deep that you would need to walk an hour from the entrance to the Mine itself just to get a few lumps of Iron. Be thankful that Carts are now able to be built in them, you used to have to carry the chests by themselves (before boats) and boats afterwards giving you only one extra chest into the crawl speed that it is....


ALSO to note, ALL Caves while unconnected are on the same map page, so if you do get a ping from a Prospect, and you have searched the Whole Cave, it could be in the next cave over, but its entrance could be on the other side of the world...

Ok thanks but are there yet mines in game? We need iron and steel to continue the game. We didn't find mines with prospecting.
