Then i wonder how they go into warp (= escaping and cannot be found in the area they ran into) sometimes.

I don't know, I never have any problems finding them. Also they shouldn't be escaping if you do it properly (and I don't mean just oneshot them :V)

I noticed something about this despawning, as in it actually happens. I've seen it a couple of times now. If an animal runs from you and happens to leave the map tile into another tile where you haven't been yet (I think nobody else needs to be there too, meaning it is an empty tile) then it despawns, even if it wasn't out of your combat reach yet. If you follow it you might find it again, but at full health as if you haven't fought it yet.
