Why is it even possible to destroy a hearth without Vandalism?

Because newbs whining about death by swimming isn't enough. We need more fashions of death where newbs can't figure out what the fuck happened to them.

Just a mistake. I will fix.

Just got back from work.
I can't remember destroying Hearth Fires around here, but I did try, mostly to see if I had enough STR for that.
Does the mere act of initiating the destruction count as vandalism? Or does the thing actually have to be destroyed?
That sounds like a hilarious way to ger back at someone. Whack everything until it's barely holding together and only leave scents of trespassing.

Seriously..?
Fuck.

EDIT: It was actually on no one's property, does it still leave a scent?
I'd check the wiki, but it's lacking a great many details on things.

Yes unless it is on your own property it leaves a scent if you hit it.

Well could you implement as well that if person not logs on for (ex:2 weeks) some time, their hearthfire is destroyed. It is very annoying to have random HF on your fields.

Well, damn.
Time to inherit and try to not have my mates kill me over losing certain things.

But since we aren't allowed to destroy things that apparently belong to no one (I assume wicker baskets etc. leave those scents too?), how would one go about cleaning up after people?
