actually, no, bloodlust raises my attack, and no ant will ever be strong enough to do drain my whole defence bar, not with slide

What is the best tactic for foraging and rabbit hunting? I tried cruising the riverside in a boat, but I only found one taproot in 20 mins.

Also, how do you kill ants? I don't understand the combat system very well.

there's a combat 101 somewhere

basically: raise some str and some UA (i'd say 15) and get some of the combat skills. Against ants i usually use the maneuvre bloodlust, move slide and punch. it keeps my def good enough, raises attack, and delivers the blow. works only on ants though

Don't forget to switch to dodge before the ant attack

He pretty clearly stated slide as well, and slide should up your def enough to keep you from getting hit, if I still understand UA.

yup. if i would just stand there doing nothing, he'd hit eventually, but i'm sliding for defence, and bloodlust raises my attack very fast, so they usually dont have time to get that close to hitting me
