Yeah they do. They grow insanely fast compared to anything else, but they are great for pumping out wax as quick as possible. (assuming they provide beehives the benefit of such, though I don't see why not.)

I have already a chicken farm with 1 male and 11 females, but they give me eggs a single time and a few days (game days) are passed since then

As i read on the wiki, fertilized eggs are just the same as normals if you dont let them by the hen and hatch, the reason for having the cock is to get more quality animals, and to fill the spaces that i haven filled from the second coop

In fact, fertilized real life eggs in low temperatures are just like not fertilized. But, i know that chickens produce a lot more of eggs if they have the male arround
