Survival WAS useless past 200 before the implementation of slings and livestock.
Nothing is 'capped' now because even with 75x50 EXPL*PERC there will be guys putting points into stealth and munching blueberry pies and fried perch, followed by murders and thefts.
To track these scents, one either needs a comparable EXP*PER, or a house to walk in and out of, or the patience to leave the screen a ways, several times.
Carpentry is useless past 150, as it caps on possible board quality, and nobody will have q150 trees for quite a long while.
