Well I for one kill anyone I see grinding buckets. I care about forest because I like hunting, and killing bucketgrinders is much better LP than grinding buckets

We need more people who do this.

I actually /have/ started replanting the forests around me. I care about the world being in generally good shape, and this way I can also help out everyone around me by upping the average quality of the trees.

I use teapots for lp and was wondering if anyone is offended by that ... i generally use spots of avg quality 15-20

Destroying clay is even worse than destroying trees.

nah, clay grows back
if its a q80 spot, someone may get annoyed though

most of the more advanced settlements kill bucketgrinders they find. not out of malice, but boar and bear only spawn in forests, and if all the trees are gone the forrest slowly turns to grass. Also, they may consider an area "theirs", and dont like you cutting down "their" trees. There are plenty of ways to get lp that dont make people angry. If you grind some fires or breadbaskets to get started, no problem usually, but later on you could be doing something useful, making stuff, getting trade goods, foraging for... whatever. its more fun and gets the job done too. as an aside, bucket grinding is NOT effective if you only get q10ish boards
