That is correct, preferably you want to see i you can someone to ram the walls but if not, grab what are the most valuable things and randon spawn an start anew.
If you keep focusing on the shadow behind, you will not see the light in front of you.

Being successful isn't just about hard work and succeeding, it is also about picking yourself up when you fail.

It is sad to leave my home, tons of crops and buildings etc, but a new start it is. Exciting game =)

That being said, load up a boat with either two crates (or wardrobes if you're feeling risky, empty them out, put them outside (and pray for no decay ticks), fill em up, load em in the boat)) or two liftables. Pick up boat, then teleport. That way you've got more stuff! :D

Also, an incredibly important note I should have made earlier. If you're going to destroy your hearthfire, make sure to keep a Beautiful Dream on you, so that you can make a new one when you get to your new location.

Well that sucks...

Good luck on your next game if you decide to actually leave.

PS: Why do newbies get all of the bears T_T

I only had one, thankfully, but a few close calls. I'm only a couple weeks old, and bears still scare the fuck out of me. I see one of their big hairy asses and I A-E-H as fast as I can.

Well, even though the op died, here is a guide on how to get help if you get walled in.

Check the map: http://www.havenandhearth.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=14717

Find out what Supergrid you are in (if you can't see it, then get the map uploading tool, it will tell you what supergrids you have been in).

Post a thread asking for help from people in that grid to come build a ram, or check in Dwarves & Thieves for a friendly looking village in your grid and pm them to see if they will let you join, in only temporarily, and then you can port to their village, and go back and build a ram yourself.

when you log out it doesnt let you take anything you have lifted. in fact, that will disable "where you logged out"
Learn from the mistakes of others. You won't live long enough to make all of them yourself.
