Hmm, this can't be the case, I was punching lv10 Deer to death before I called it a night. Thanks for confirming I'm not just a crackpot though. I shall perform Science! before making any more contradictory claims.

You say so, but I have never seen deer lvl X. You might have wrongly notice the number. I traveled 6 SGs from central to west and south and went over abandoned places as well as populated. Deers I killed varied from lvl III to lvl IX. Realy never saw lvl X.
Foxes I met one fox lvl II but the rest are still III (or IV? dont really remember their highest number). Only ones I have never saw lower lvl are boars and of course mighty bears.
