Go play Farmville-

-or maybe it's too much for you.

Nah, go choke on a bag of dicks. This game has nothing to do with farmville and you and everyone else who gives this ridiculous suggestion have all my hate for suggesting it.

Exactly, it has nothing to do with Farmville. It's a serious game were you take the risk of being killed at almost all times. Apart from farming and living la vida loca smoking tobacco inside your log cabin you have to defend yourself. Build up a palisade. Another one. A brickwall. Keep keys alt-vaulted and build up Xroads.

Or you can just obviate the defend yourself part and continue believing it's unfair to be killed on a game that allows (and encourages) other players to do it. There's always the forums to come whine to, afterall. :-D

You're getting way off-topic here, but I never said it's unfair for people to be killed. Thieves and murderers deserve it. Griefers as well. But I would never go around killing innocent people because that's a good way to make a lot of enemies in a short span of time.

You wouldn't. But there's people that would and do. If there weren't people killing random players the game would be more or less just like Farmville, that's my point. The game gives you infinite posibilities to build up. There needs to be a balance or else the world would be full of players, structures and useless crap no one uses anymore: that's what griefers, murderers and thieves are for.

Pretty sure his point is randomly screwing with someone who is trying to get his stats up to something bearable so his tools can get a better quality. No point in killing someone who just figured out what needs to happen to get a better quality seed from his crops. Not complaining about the free and open PVP. I like the game for that. Creates a rivalry between villages or whatever. Be nice to be able to skip past the ppl that would seal a random person's palisade and then put a runestone next to it saying "U SUKSSS!!!! LOLOL".

On another note, after it has set, I will can extend it. Can I extend it south and then west and then seal it? So this doesn't happen again?

Seal it when you're done building your palisades, and there are no more segments you wish to make.

Nevermind, disregard that.

Yes, as long as you build a wall segment in that direction, even if it's sealed you can continue on that segment. Extend it in all of the 4 directions you'd like then seal it so no one can grief you. Also make sure to have it on a claim so they can't extend it.

extend your claim one square outside your palisade. prevents people from building a cornerpost behind a tree somewhere and then connecting it up to one of your cornerposts (usually)
Learn from the mistakes of others. You won't live long enough to make all of them yourself.
